The quality of the food is good. But we had to wait over one hour (!) for our ordered meal to come. And very discussing was, the our table that next to us two big hairy dogs were lying on the floor. It felt unhygienic and odd to eat next to dogs.

We ate at Maharadscha last night. Given that it was on the 30th and most of Rosenheim was empty they were surprisingly busy. The restraurant itself is quite attractive and well decorated in an odd Indian/Bavarian motif. We were seated by a lady, who I can only assume is completely in charge of the place and everyone that works for her. She seemed as though she'd take no lip from anyone (good for her). However, once she seated us, it seemed like forever before she returned with menus. The menu was extensive and we ended up deciding on an appetizer and a Thali plate for 2. My wife lived in India for awhile and knows what most Indian food is. The appetizer arrived and instead of being a puff pastry with onions it was more like onion rings. Good, but strange. Then the Thali arrived. It also had curious ingredients (i.e. kidney beans and lots of sliced peppers). It was generally quite good but about half way through our meal the aforementioned lady walked by our table and under her breath said pappadoms and quickly returned with them. That made it better. Was it bad, not at all, in fact, quite good. Will I go back? Maybe. There are still two other Indian restaurants that I haven't tried yet. The reason I gave it a 3 star review was because of the odd ingredients and semi-slow service.
